Leslie Topps lives in Atlanta, GA and is a faithful member of the Renaissance church of Christ, under the leadership of Dr. Orpheus J. Heyward.
She obeyed the gospel at the age of 9 in Little Rock, AR under the leadership of Bro. Robert L. James with the Lewis Street church of Christ. Her mother was a prominent Christian, but her father was a Baptist minister.
Leslie began to understand the Word of God after graduating from The University of Memphis with a Bachelors of Communications at age 23. She placed her membership with the Quince Road church of Christ in Memphis, TN, under the leadership of Bro. Nokomas Rodgers. After being confused for so long because of the different beliefs of her parents, she finally understood the truth and was fully convinced about the "one church” and the importance of the body of Christ. This enlightenment led her to create potentially the first COC FB public group. It forced her to study deeply to be able to answer questions from people across the world about the Lord’s church.
She is currently on staff at the congregation at The Renaissance, as an Administrative Assistant and PR Manager for her minister. She is active in the evangelism ministry, retention for young adults and she sings with The Renaissance Chorus. She also enjoys teaching Sunday school to 2nd - 5th graders.
On July 2, 2015 and by the grace of God, she started The Young Adult Sister's Prayer Call for women (ages 22-39). The call still takes place every Thursday evening at 8:30PM EST. Because of her promotions background, friendly personality and her conviction in the Faith, she invites almost every stranger she meets to attend worship service with her at church.
Leslie is available for speaking engagements that target the youth, young adults and women.
