  • Judah chooses Tamar for Er
    • Tamar was chosen by Judah to be Er his wife
    • Er was wicked in God’s sight so God took him
    • Then Judah told Er’s brother Onan to marry his sister-in-law 
    • Onan died because he was spilling the seed on the ground
  • Tamar possible thought process
    • As women we would want to know the why
    • The devastation and grief 
    • What is wrong with me may have been her
  • Tamar knew the character of her father-in-law possibly
    • Tamar saw that Shela was not going to marry her
    • She then came up with a plan to get her a baby
    • She dressed up and caught his eye and got her baby

The way to salvation:

  • Hear: Romans 10:17
  • Believe: Hebrews 11:6
  • Repent: Acts 17:30-31
  • Confess: Matthew 10:32
  • Be Baptized: Mark 16:15-16
  • Be faithful unto death: Revelation 2:10
