034. God Chose Me

• What does having a call on your life look like? The simple answer to this question is to follow our discussion with Robyn Williams. Robyn is a single mother with an amazing calling on her life and she knows she was chosen for this journey.
• Going underground
  • Mom knew she had to keep herself and her children safe 
  • Sleeping in cars, friends couches and staying on the run
  • They moved around a lot and they did not get attached to friends
  • Mom had to work several jobs to care for Robyn and her siblings
  • Mom had to get babysitters to help with Robyn and her siblings
• Surviving sexual abuse
  • The first time she experience abuse was at the hand of a babysitter 
  • She became promiscuous and had a child at 17
• Going off to college
  • Robyn knew she needed to do better for herself because she was a mom
  • She partied hard, was able to maintain her grades  
  • Before finding Christ she felt unworthy 
• Finding love in Christ 2011
  • Robyn knew God was there the whole time 
  • When she walked by the church of Christ in her area, Robyn knew she needed to walk in 
  • Attended worship for months before saying yes to Christ
  • Her son obeyed the gospel first and she had a date in her head to obey but the calling from God was so powerful
  • Every song sang moved her to tears due to her realizing she did not need to go anywhere else.
