What does having a call on your life look like? The simple answer to this question is to follow our discussion with Kim Hernandez. Kim walked us through her journey to say yes to the Lord. She was so transparent and vulnerable in sharing her story with us

• Born and raised in the church of Christ mom and dad laid the foundation
  • Mom was the only one of 17 children who obeyed the Gospel 
  • Dad was born and raised in the church of Christ
  • Kim is the youngest of 4 children
  • Kim’s parents let her and her siblings know they would not make the decision of obeying the Gospel for them
• The call-in middle school
  • Kim obeyed the Gospel in middle school 
  • She was picked on and called baby Moses by her peers for telling them what is right
  • She had the opportunity to minister to a classmate who denounced the Lord God 
• When the darkness tried to take over her life
  • Withdrawn due to home issues and found comfort in a black sweater 
  • Satan came to destroy her family 
  • She has always had a spirit of boldness
  • There were periods of isolation and a sense of defeat
  • The Lord always provided comfort through others in the church and in school
• Family issues and a broken home
  • Children deal with the issues that parents are dealing with
  • Parents separated when she was 7 years old and it caused an I don’t care attitude
  • We need to have a deep relationship with the Lord
  • Even when your children see you fall allow them to see you rise
• Marriage, divorce, pain, and purpose
  • Marriage is work and not something to enter into lightly
  • Pray, fasted, and did marriage counseling
  • When you forget us and focus I marriage is over
  • You must die to yourself in a marriage and he must do so as well

• Hear: Romans 10:17
• Believe: Hebrews 11:6
• Repent: Acts 17:30-31
• Confess: Matthew 10:32
• Be Baptized: Mark 16:15-16

Be faithful unto death: Revelation 2:10
